When Texas Children’s Hospital assembled a team to develop a pediatric urgent care system, we consulted the experts – parents. The result is a clinical system that provides your family with outstanding customer service through high quality, efficient, and affordable care – right in your neighborhood.

Our clinics are staffed by board-certified pediatricians who have privileges at Texas Children’s Hospital. That means that your child will receive the highest quality pediatric care available.

Customer service

We understand that we need to earn the privilege of caring for your child. Our child-friendly staff is focused on complete customer satisfaction in all aspects of your visit. From the moment you are greeted at the door until your final question is answered after discharge, our staff is dedicated to making your visit as pleasant and stress-free as possible.

We understand that customer service should not end with discharge. For higher-risk patients, a member of our staff will contact you within 48 hours to make sure your child is improving. If you have questions after the visit, you are welcome to call our office during regular hours to speak with a staff member.

Convenience and efficiency

Texas Children’s Urgent Care clinics are open weekday evenings and weekends to accommodate your schedule. We are centrally located in your neighborhood and have convenient parking. Our efficient processes allow us to register, diagnose, treat and discharge your child in less than one hour for a majority of patients. By the time your child is discharged, your prescription will have been sent to the pharmacy of your choice and a summary of the visit sent to your pediatrician’s office.

Although your final charges will depend on numerous factors such as the complexity of the case, tests performed, and your individual insurance plan, your final charges will be less than the cost of an equivalent visit to the emergency room. There are no facility charges and no separate charges for the physician’s services, testing or imaging (this means you will only get one bill). For patients without insurance, we have discounted self-pay rates available at the time of service.
